EXT. Public Square. Two men get off the boat and one has his arm in a sling.

OLD GUY:
I am Peter Wilks’s brother, Harvey. Peters other brother, William cannot talk or hear and he broke his arm so he can’t sign.


KING:
LIAR!


HARVEY:
How did you get here?


KING:
I came on the Susan Powell fromCincinnati.


HARVEY:
You were riding along the Pint in a canoe with Tim Collins and a kid!


DOCTOR:
Is it that kid? (Points to Huck)


HARVEY:
Yeah!
INT. Hotel Room


DOCTOR:
Well, I do not know who is telling the truth, but I don’t want the money with either of them until we know.


KING:
I don’t have the money, someone stole it!


DOCTOR:
Kid, did you see it stolen?


HUCK:
I saw them running away, but I thought they were scared they woke the master up and didn’t want to get in trouble.


(Silent Supper lawyer enters. Lawyer and King talk quietly to one another.)


LAWYER:
I'll take your order and send it along with your brothers so they will know it's alright.


(KING and DUKE writing)




LAWYER:
Okay, now you and your brother write a few sentences and sign your names
(Harvey writes. Lawyer pulls out old letters from Harvey and William)


LAWYER:
Well, these two handwritings don’t look like these letters and this mans handwriting isn’t even eligible.


HARVEY:
Well, my brother wrote our letters, and now he has a broken arm so he can’t show you. Look! They are by the same hand.


LAWYER:
I believe it is so. At least I think so. But I do know now that these two men (points to the king and duke) are not Peter’s brothers.


KING:
Well, it’s not fair because my brother was just kidding; he wasn’t trying to write-


HARVEY:
I’ve thought of something. What was tattooed on my brother’s chest?


KING:
It is a small thin blue arrow.


HARVEY:
Wrong! It is a dim P and a B and a W.


TOWNSPEOPLE:
THEY ARE ALL FRAUDS! DROWN THEM ALL!!


LAWYER:
Let us go dig up the corpses and figure it out for ourselves!


(Go to graveyard and dig out the body, find the gold on Peter’s chest. Huck runs away)


HUCK:
JIM! Wake up! They are gone! We can leave!


(They started to leave but the King and Duke comes running and jumps on the raft. King grabs Huck)


KING:
Are you trying to leave us? What were you doing?


HUCK:
No! I was afraid they would hang me!


DUKE:
Let the boy go! Did you worry about him when you got loose? (King lets go) Now why did you go and hide the money?


KING:
Now, why are you going and accusing me of stealing the money! You probably did it


Duck starts choking King


DUKE:
ADMIT YOU STOLE THE MONEY!


KING:
Fine! I stole it! Now let me go!
(they got drunk and joked around.)
